UPDATE, JUNE 5TH 8 PM: The star party scheduled for Saturday, June 6th, 9-11 PM at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is canceled. After evaluating potential cloud cover forecast for Saturday night, CSASTRO and Florissant Fossil Beds have made the decision to cancel. We hope that our next event date we’ll have better weather.

Summer brings great weather to the Colorado mountains (Be prepared for much cooler temperatures than on the plains though!). Our view of the universe changes as we orbit the Sun so different times of year also bring us different stars and constellations to see and enjoy. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a great place to see these astonishing wonders of the sky through the telescopes of Colorado Springs Astronomical Society members.
