CSASTRO will be providing our SUN-Day in the Park program at Bear Creek Nature Center on Saturday, August 22nd in support of Bear Creek Nature Center’s 50th Anniversary.
Bear Creek Nature Center was established in 1976 as the Solar Trails Center and became Colorado’s first nature center serving generations through environmental education, conservation, and community engagement. The anniversary also coincides with the Nations’ 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries, offering a timely opportunity to reflect on how public lands, natural resources, and stewardship have shaped our shared history. Bear Creek Nature Center’s 50th Anniversary celebration and CSASTRO’s support of this event underscores the vital role local parks and nature centers plan in preserving that legacy for future generations.
