This is our annual September Skies Star Stare at our Starry Meadows property near Gardner, Colorado.
CSASTRO has decided to make this a member-only event. If you are not a member, you can still participate. Just join CSASTRO! That’s just $30 for an entire household for a year of membership benefits.

If you’ve never been to September Skies Star Stare, we just want you to be aware that unlike our annual Rocky Mountain Star Stare (RMSS), there is no advance registration, no name tags, no organized keynote speakers or workshops, no special children’s programs, and no food trucks. The town hall will be open and available for phone and battery recharging, microwave, hot plate, electric kettle, tables for socializing and more. There WILL be a burger and brat burn at the Town Hall on Saturday for Lunch and we have placed an order for clear and very dark night skies for the four days! September does usually bring with it a little cooler night but also more chances for clear skies so become a member (if you aren’t already, and join us under the pristine mountain dark skies we enjoy at our Starry Meadows property.
For new members that want to look through other member telescopes, several of the outreach team will be on hand with visual observing telescopes and open to sharing views of the night sky.
