Lunar Eclipse Star Party, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Thursday, August 27th, 8:30 PM – Midnight


Event Details


There will be a lunar eclipse of the Moon visible from Colorado Springs on Thursday, August 27th so we’re having a star party! Join us the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society (CSASTRO) for free views through binoculars and telescopes of the ongoing Lunar Eclipse and other celestial sights. Our program is free and open to the public but park fees apply. CSASTRO member volunteers will set up telescopes in the far East end of the Limekiln Trailhead parking lot (First left after passing the visitor center/entrance).  

Partial Eclipse begins: 8:33 PM

Maximum Eclipse: 10:12 PM

Partial Eclipse ends: 11:51 PM
