CSASTRO Monthly Meeting at the Air Force Academy Planetarium
We are excited to invite you to our special monthly CSASTRO meeting, held at the Air Force Academy Planetarium! Our meetings are always free and open to the public, and this month’s event will be held in person only (see details below).
Special Program:
Jeff Gonyea, the Planetarium Administrator, will serve as our Master of Ceremonies, presenting the planetarium show and enhancing the experience during key parts of our meeting.
Location & Directions:
- Venue: Air Force Academy Planetarium
- Directions: Take exit 156 off Interstate 25 and enter the U.S. Air Force Academy through the North Gate.
- Important: Please do not use GPS directions, as they may lead you to the wrong location.
- Once on base, drive straight on Academy Drive for 4 miles.
- Turn left to park in the visitor lot for Arnold Hall.
- The Planetarium is the building with the white dome, located north of the visitor parking.
- Access the front door via the steps or use the ramp to the left for accessible entry.

Access Procedures:
For guests without a DoD or military ID, register for an access pass using the following QR code*:

Register as soon as possible, as the USAFA requires time to complete a background check before granting access. *For those guests with season tickets to sports, contact the Pass and Registration (PRO) at 10SFS.S5B@us.af.mil or at the South Gate and explain that you have the monthly athletic pass and you have this event in addition to the athletic events. They should give you instructions on what to do since base access passes are good for one event at a time. More info can be found at www.usafa.edu/visitors/getting-on-base/ if necessary.
Special Thanks:
We sincerely appreciate the support of the Air Force Academy Astronomy Department for sponsoring our meeting location!
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing an inspiring evening of astronomy!
