CSASTRO Monthly Meeting – Special Air Force Academy Planetarium Meeting!!!

Event Details

Entrance to the U.S. Air Force Academy Planetarium and STEM Center.CSASTRO Meetings are free and open to the public and are currently being held in person and online (see location  below).

This is a special monthly meeting where we are meeting at the Air Force Academy Planetarium. LINK: Planetarium • United States Air Force Academy   We are currently working with the AFA Astronomy department for access procedures for those that do not have a DoD or Military ID.   We will update this post as soon as we receive the updates.

Jeff Gonyea, the Planetarium Director, will present us with the latest planetarium show and provide an enhanced experience for key portions of the meeting.

Directions:  To visit the Planetarium, use exit 156 off Interstate 25 and enter the U.S. Air Force Academy through the North Gate.

Please do not follow GPS directions as those will take you to an incorrect location.

Once on base, continue driving straight on Academy Drive for 4 miles and then turn left to park in the visitor lot for Arnold Hall. To the north of the visitor parking, there is a building with a white dome – that’s the Planetarium! Please follow the steps to the front door or use the winding path to the left of the steps for ramp access.

Monthly Meeting location sponsored by The Air Force Academy Astronomy Department.  CSASTRO appreciates the support!

Virtual Meeting Invitation:

We will not be providing this meeting virtually.  It can only be attended in-person.

We will also have our regular Observers Reports, What’s Up in the Night Sky, and more.
