Comets and Asteroids

What happened to the dinosaurs? How did the craters on the Moon get there?

Join the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society at the Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park (201 S Fairview St, Woodland Park, CO 80863) on Saturday, March 10th from 10:00 – 4:00 PM as we explore these questions. Help make a dry ice comet and build and test a model to simulate meteor impacts on the Moon. Learn what forces have covered up most traces of meteor impacts on the Earth.

Come explore a marvelous world class museum in Woodland Park. They feature an awe-inspiring display of dinosaurs, prehistoric marine reptiles, pterosaurs and fish of North America’s late Cretaceous period.

Saturday, March 10 is Free Scout Day at the museum. More info at http://www.rmdrc.com/
