Fred Goodman Secretary

I am a US Air Force and Civil Service retiree.  My interest in astronomy started when I finally retired and moved to the Colorado Springs area. I brought a Meade ETX 90 scope here from Maryland.  My current interest is producing images to share with family and friends, in the hope of enticing them to become interested in astronomy.  I started imaging with the ETX 90 that I adapted to a Tasco equatorial mount and wood tripod. My first images, of our solar system, were taken with a Kodak P&S camera.  I moved up to a Meade LX200 GPS GOTO and a Sony mirrorless camera.  I hope to soon build an observatory, to extend my imaging season and provide a more comfortable environment, out of the wind. I also hope to continue inviting neighbors to view the night skies with me.
