• Membership begins on January 1 and expires on December 31 of the same calendar year.
• Dues are collected before January 1 for the next year.
• Memberships enrolled on or after July 1st each year will be half price.
• Memberships submitted after Dec 1st of the calendar year, will be for the following year.
• Starting in 2010, to renew you will need a MemberID and Password. If you don’t know/have these, please contact Bob Littin- e-mail
• Please read the “Types of Membership” and “Member Benefits” below, to determine the membership best suited for you and/or your family.

a. To Join, fill out the form, pick your type of membership, select to Pay Online or Pay by Check. If you choose the ‘Associate Membership’, there is no dues, but you are still required to submit an application. b. To Renew, enter your MemberID and password. If you do not know your MemberID and Password, please contact us and we will give them to you. When you choose ‘Pay Online’ or ‘Pay by Check’, you will be taken to a form in which you can pick your renewal type of membership and then submit payment online or mail in form and check. 2. For New Members(Family/Individual/Lifetime), after you submit payment online or check, you should be taken back to the CSAS website. You will receive a welcome email from CSAS with your MemberID and Password. If you ‘Pay by Check’, your application validation will take approximately 5-10 business days, from the time the application is mailed.

3. After you receive your MemberID and Password (for those joining for the first time), please hover over the Membership tab in the top menu and then select “Change Password” from the drop down menu. Using the MemberID and Password you received in your welcome email, change your password. After you have changed your password, select the ‘Member Profile’ under the Membership Menu, log in, and fill out the member profile as completely as possible, as this will help us to match you to mentors and programs available within CSAS.

If, at any time, this process fails, please use the contact form in the “Problems?” tab below to contact us so that we can fix it! We want you to get the most out your membership with CSAS ! We also want to be responsive to your needs and welcome you to the local astronomy community!

• One full membership (one voting share) in CSAS and AL.
• One group membership to the IDA.
• One subscription to the Reflector (AL) newsletter.
• Club discounts on subscriptions to Astronomy and Sky and Telescope magazines.
• 10% discounts off of any astronomical book publication (administered through AL).
• Observing program awards (administered through AL).
• Access to the CSAS Members Only portions of the Website as well as the ability to add content to the website (after approval of content). If you want to take advantage of this benefit, register on the website through the register link in the right sidebar. Unfortunately, this is a separate from the Club Membership registration and login so you will have to register separately if you haven’t done so already.
• Access to the CSAS Members Only sections of our Forums. Again you will have to register for the forums and let them know that you are a CSAS member. And this is a separate process also unfortunately. The three separate registrations and logins are not to be deliberately inconvenient — it is just the best of all three processes that we can do right now. (Remember this is a volunteer organization!) We believe that what you get out of CSAS will be worth the minor inconveniences.
• The opportunity to give back to your community by participating in events and sharing your expertise, at whatever level.
• Access to our privately owned 40-acre observing site in Gardner, CO.

Individual: 1 person with voting rights and eligibility for CSAS officer.

Family: 2 people with voting rights and eligibility for CSAS officer

Lifetime: 1 person with voting rights and eligibility for CSAS officer.  One time payment of dues.

Associate: 1 person – no dues – no voting rights – must be full time student or family member of CSAS member.
