Been a CSAS member since 2008, but I’ve been an amateur astronomer for many years. I was one of the founders of the Museum Astronomical Resource Society (MARS) in Tampa FL in 1984 and founded the Diego Garcia Astronomical Society (DGAS) on the island of Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory in 2002. I was a Space Operator in the USAF for many years, before going to work for Northrop Grumman. I am also teach Astronomy at Pikes Peak Community College.

Been a CSAS member since 1996. I've been an astro hobbyist and ATM'er since about the age of 17, when my grand-dad gave me a partially completed 6"f/8 mirror. I finished the mirror, and installed it in a home built scope, been hooked ever since.

I've always been interested in space and the stars. Time and real life intrude and my family (dh and 4 children) and I moved here in 2000. I joined CSAS in July 2009 and am finally learning more about my interest. And loving it! Star Parties are fun and learning how to use my telescope is very satisfying.
